"My Three Countries: A Journey from Privilege to Slavery to Freedom" by Anna Melgaard, Alice Ard, Ellen Fredericks, and Mandy Melgaard tells the story of Anna Untch, a Romanian woman who, in post-WWII East Germany, was taken from her life of privilege to the USSR as a hard laborer with no freedom and little hope. The story follows Anna as she finds freedom and her American Dream. Join us in welcoming local author Alice Melgaard Ard to discuss her work. Books will be available for purchase.
